Currently on iplayer. Has anyone else seen it?

I absolutely loved it! Was very graphic in places and has made me a bit wary of hospitals now!

I watched it years ago when it was first out. It's brilliant.
Isn't it? I am so glad that I have never wanted children after watching this!

Ooh just seen that cardiac arrest is on you tube! That will be this weekends viewing sorted!

I haven't seen Cardiac Arrest so I'll need to check that out. Did you watch Critical on Sky a few years ago? I really liked the style of it but it got cancelled after one season which was frustrating.

Some of Jeds finest work, watched it when it first aired and have it on dvd too! It’s bloody brilliant. And Max Beesley is a bonus too 😉

We’ve just started watching it and omg I’m so glad I’ve had my kids already! The most horrific episode last night. The one with the shoulder distocia, which is what I had with my first child, very uncomfortable viewing...but Max Beesley 😍 and love to hate the awful Mr Whitman! It’s very true to life though, I’ve worked on a labour ward and the worst thing is all of that really goes on!

My husband is a doctor and for as long as I have known him he has always refused to watch medical drama (too close to home and too many inaccuracies). The only one he has ever given any credence to was Cardiac Arrest. I think his parents had the first episode on when he was going through a stressful time as a junior doctor and he ended up watching it. He said it was so true-to-life that it made him feel ill and he had to leave the room. I imagine Bodies must be on a similarly realistic level as they were both written by Jed, a former doctor himself.

Is nobody else shocked at the misogyny? From obgyns? The medical negligence is one thing, the dark humour I hate to say it is perhaps typical but the misogyny? I could well believe a reg being in that position too.

I watched this a while back. It's fantastic. I did watch literally with crossed legs through most of it though! 🙈

I binged this when it first came on i player a few years ago and recently rewatched both series, i think its an excellent drama and was surprised it aired on BBC3 originally. I liked Keith Allens character and thought he and Polly had great chemistry its no surprise they ended up together in real life!
I preferred Roger Hurley even if he is nasty over Rob Lake as he always looked super greasy!

I really want to watch this but just read the comments about some of the episodes. I’m currently 34 weeks pregnant… shall I avoid?!

I really would, it’s a lot about errors made by professionals working on a labour ward, it’s quite scary, traumatic and graphic. I’m very glad I’ve had my kids and am done now!
