Anyone have one of these and how have you found navigating the deals? I've got the app and it all seems a bit random what you get offers for. Does anyone know if there's any companies they have permanent deals with or is it always chop and change?

Loads of places have permanent offers - New Look, Fatface, Joules & River Island, to name a few. Some only offer 5% discount, but some as high as 30%. My Mum has a blue light card and gets all sorts of deals.

I'm pretty sure Starbucks, Holland & Barratt and Mountain Warehouse also do permanent discount. My husband has had a card for years but still checks before going in a shop/buying something online whether he gets a discount.

If you're entitled to a blue light card you're most likely able to get a CSSC membership, it costs about £4 a month but does give you tons more discounts, heavily discounted cinema tickets, free taste card, free English heritage membership etc as well as lots of events you can access 😊

CSSC also gives you access to discounted local authority gym membership in loads of places.

I actually just gave my CSSC up as I wasnt using it really and have cheap cinema / themepark etc through another scheme.

Also we have a BLC and never knew about the starbucks discount  the amount I could have saved.

I always use mine. Permanent offers on shops I use like Charlotte Tilbury 20% off, My Protein up to 50% off. I used it for my shopping in Asda which had 10% off last few months. My daughter is 14 and it's really useful for shops like JD and New Look. Also useful in restaurants and coffee shops as some have signs up saying they offer discount.

the only thing i don’t like about it is downloading the vault codes very long, student discount codes are so much easier to copy and paste other than that it’s very good!

Love mine. Unfortunately my purse got lost and because my work ID has changed (got married) which I hadn’t updated yet I’ve got to go through a lengthy process to get a new one. But I used my old one constantly!

I use mine to go to Kew Gardens for free. Been a couple of times so that's more than paid for itself

I ask at the till in most places and the majority take it, even if they're not named on the app.

Before my app updated there was a section where you could enter your postcode and see local shops to you offering discount, there were all kinds nearby I had no idea, even the local chemist!

I don't really use mine much mainly because there never seem to be any deals on the shops at the time. I missed out on the Asda one recently but I'm keeping my eye out for another one. I hadn't realised supermarkets did then. I'm going to have a look at the CSSC that's someone mentioned as that sounds like quite a good deal.

I'm going here later this month and I did NOT know that 😱 that's saved us like £30!!

I'm also doubting my earlier statement about Starbucks being included - my husband has blue light card, armed forces card and CSSC and I get student discount as I work at a uni so we never pay full price for anything 😂

Yeah I found it last summer on the BL Facebook Group! It's a fab offer and saves a decent chunk!

KfC does 20% discount too which saves a lot. Peacocks. Hungry horse and Toby Carvery pubs have 20%. Sports direct and jd are only online I think but not in store. And I have used it in Starbucks. I do forget a lot though. Gutted somebody just said Charlotte Tilbury as I spent £60 in there not long ago on a foundation and didn’t ask.

Bicester Village do a Blue Light VIP code. Got 10% off in a few shops (Sweaty Betty, Cosmetics Co, Ted Baker, Elemis). Worth it if you're going. Some places have price limits or don't do it but quite a few do

If you’re NHS, there’s also:

I always search on here first if there’s any offers for the place/shop I want to go to before checking with my blue light card
