Hi!
Looking for ideas for birthday presents for my terminally ill mother. It's a big birthday so wanting to get something special but I can't think of any ideas as she's pretty house bound (although she can get out with help) and doesn't have any hobbies these days.

Thanks in advance ☺

Firstly, I’m sending good wishes to you and your mum.
When my Aunt was terminal (her birthday was Jan and she passed in Feb) she was housebound/bed bound. She asked me to bring my nicest going out shoes to her, she wanted to try them on and feel good about herself.
I took a few pairs of Vivienne Westwood shoes, she was happy to stand up and see herself in the mirror with them on. 🥹

I can’t remember what I bought for her birthday, but I clearly remember the shoes. With that in mind, would your mum maybe appreciate someone to come and do her nails for her, or pamper her at home? Something to make her feel nice?

wishing you the best xx

Thank you so much for your wishes and ideas.

My mother isn't a shoe person but I love the idea of the shoe try on. That was so special for your aunt 🥰

How about arranging for someone to come round to do her nails and maybe her hair. You could always make her favourite food or get her favourite takeaway and have a celebration at home?

Not sure if its her sort of thing but could a therapist come round to give her a nice aromatherapy massage and a facial

How about a photobook of your lives together to look through and reminisce together?
This was going to be my suggestion too.

Also, to OP. My thoughts are of course with you and your family. May your time with your mum be as peaceful and memorable as possible.
