A lot of North Devon beaches are lovely - huge and dog friendly. Ilfracombe is not the biggest but is lovely and the town itself has lots of dog friendly pubs and cafes.
I live in Ilfracombe! Yes, it's very dog friendly. We have some larger beaches a few miles away ~ Woolacombe, Saunton Sands and Northam Burrows are much bigger and great for a good long run. Saunton and Northam are dog friendly all year; Woolacombe has some restrictions during summer, but only on a small part. Plus there's the South West Coast Path to walk on which is absolutely beautiful.

Anyone have their recommendations? Even the ones with summer restrictions. Looking for somewhere new to visit.
Dornoch and Rosemarkie Beaches in the north east of Scotland. Huge beautiful stretches of beach, dogs love it. Great area to visit.

There is a lovely dog friendly beach at Littlehampton which we've used a few times and there's plenty of other stuff to do there.
