Best fake tan?

I have used St Moritz for over a decade, I really like it. It's available in various different shades. I use the mousse as it has a guide colour.

I recently brought utan (cherry almond turbo mouse) and it’s the best I’ve ever used! I also got the cbd tanning face mist in an effort to help my acne.

Any recommendations for tan removal/tips?

Im going to try that utan now! The name makes me feel like it would smell nice - is that just marketing?

for removal use an oil based body scrub with a bamboo shower mitt. Put the scrub on first and let it sink in a bit - the oil breaks down the tan. I use a sanctuary one I think in a jar. Then once it’s been on a few mins use the bamboo mitt in circular motions and it will come off.

Bondi sands, it’s nearly 20 a bottle but a little goes a long way and the colour pay off is much nicer than most tans I’ve used. Edit: Lol didn’t read your comment thoroughly!

Cocoa Brown is also good if you want something that is cheaper! They also sell lovely shimmer make up for your body if you’re planning to use it for a night out. It’s nice on the chest shoulders and legs!


The dove gradual tan is also good if you’re someone who doesn’t want an instant tan and want to build it up over time and it’s also a moisturiser so you’re getting a 2 for 1

Idk if they sell it where you’re living but there’s a tan called sosu dripping gold and it’s great, it is just a bit difficult to find as I usually buy my tan from boots and I can only usually find it in independent chemists

I agree that Bondi sands and cocoa brown are both really good.

if I want to treat myself I usually go for Vita Liberata or Xen-Tan.

I find St Moritz quite drying and it comes off patchy but it is a good cheap tan although I would recommend to spend the extra £1-2 if you’re on a budget and get Cocoa Brown instead. (I know you asked about a “treat” tan so to speak but just in case anyone else is looking for a good budget tan my vote would be Cocoa brown).

My favourite tan is Coco Brown Medium-In my personal opinion it suits us pale Irish skinned ladies so well!Iv bad dry patches on my arms and its the only one that doesn’t stick to them! If there flaring up bad I do moistureise right before applying & still get a great colour! For my face I use So Sue Wonder Water(think its watermelon or something-cant tell but I actually rate it considering Im not a fan of hers! Again I literally lather my face in a serum & moisturiser then spray on and blend with a big makeup brush. I always apply moisturiser to knees feet ankles elbows and those jibbly bits between the tits and pits to minimise sticking-mostly works out ok! For removing tan I use Chloe Adairs 3minute remover & It literally melts the tan off -pricey but worth it as I need to remove tan regularly for my work & I have peace of mind knowing it comes off in minutes! Iv tried so many tans on the market it’s scary to think of the cost, Bellamianta Mousse is another favourite but I think its pricey(there tanning gloves are the best tho imo) Bondi Sands pure is nice-cheaper then there mousses etc! Avoid B Perfect I find it hideous there instead tan is like cement also ALDIs version of Sally Hansen liquid legs is dreadful too avoid at all costs! Sally Hansen Airbrush legs is always handy to have for a quick blast of colour just the transfer is a pain!!

Cocoa brown also smells amazing! It’s the nicest smelling tan out there

i need tips for removal too, when mine wears off I look like I’ve a skin disease haha. And if I try to put tan over it I also look like I’ve a skin disease. I’m such a crap girl lol.

tried the Lidl extra dark mousse and wow! I love it. It’s such a lovely colour, and it has lasted nearly a week wearing off not too bad compared to others I’ve tried. It smells quite nice too. I’m definitely won over.

Iv used St. Moriz since I was in school and no matter how many different tans I try I always end up back to it. I only use shade medium tho as my skin seems to react to the darker ones

bondi sands always turns me into tiger bread so I have never understood the hype

I'm a lazy tanner, love the idea of it, but can't be arsed with the effort. I use this if I just need a bit of colour for a day/night out and washes off easily.

St Tropez Express for me too! Handy for a quick rinse but I mostly sleep in it over night. I only ever buy it on offer in Boots though!

yes ive tried the sosu me tan and really liked it,but I got the dark one and I was like Ross in friends when he got his spray tan The colour after a day or two was so nice though, so might try it again but only in a medium shade.

I’d love to be a gradual tan kind of girl but truth is I’m just so lazy when it comes to it, I’d do it for a few days then end up stopping. I’m a nightmare!

Isle of Paradise Tanning Water is amazing, as is Tanologist tanning water by Superdrug. Both are like water, you spray them on and rub in with a tanning mitt. Never get streaks, always comes out a lovely colour and as it's a watery fluid you get quite a few goes from each bottle so is really good value for money. You don't get the awful smell from them either

I've only ever used a mitt for applying tan. I don't know how I feel a bout using latex gloves Might try it though!

Disappointing isn’t it especially as it’s not the cheapest will have to hunt for something longer lasting

Fuming the Aldi one was limited as that was even better than the Bondi one and came off better

i use st moriz medium but usually apply 2 coats for a slightly darker colour. it always looks lovely. i use the bondi sands mitt and sometimes mix a bit of the st tropez watermelon gradual tan lotion in on the dry areas! this is a lovely gradual tan alone too. this lasts about a week when moisturising everyday (just use a basic nivea one). to remove this i just use the st moriz tan remover which is sold on the superdrug website, works a dream and removes it instantly! takes me no longer than 5-10 mins to scrub it all off.

as far as gradual tans go i definitely recommend the watermelon st tropez one and the garnier lotion in dark. i’ve heard good things about the dove one too.

when it’s on offer i get the bondi sands mousse in dark which is also amazing! either one is great but there’s obviously a massive price difference. st moriz is great on a budget & looks lovely. bondi sands is more pricey but looks very natural and goes a nice dark colour. either way these are my favourites.
