Best cat repellent?

Our front and back garden is constantly covered in cat poo!! I try my best to clean it up but there's always some that i miss or i pick it up only for a cat to leave another poo only a few hours later, it's driving us mad as we have stepped in it a few times now and there are leaves on the ground so we don't always see it until we smell it

What can we do?

Chop up some lemons and place them around the perimeter of your garden - it will deter cats from coming in.

You can also buy cat repellent gadgets but no idea of those work?

Failing that - an air rifle might do the trick?!

Ask the owners to put a litter tray down for their cats. Mine have big tray and will only poo in their tray, they dont do it outside but will have a wee. Also they dont like orange peel so scatter that where they normally go.

There's not a lot you can do about it, once a cat has defecated or urinated in a spot they will keep coming back to it as it becomes their toilet. In my experience the only thing that puts a neighbour's cat off is a dog's presence.

I tried this lion poo which I ordered off Amazon. Reeked to high heaven and it seemed to work for a couple of weeks but you do need to top it up. Only problem with it was you couldn’t sit near it as the smell was gaggingly awful

I’m having this problem too but I have a dog so that doesn’t work our dog is also pooing out our front at the moment right by the cats new flower bed toilet but nope still not bothered

We have approximately 20 cats in our street, they crap everywhere. But not in our back garden thanks to our labradors.

In our front garden we have a cat scarer noise machine. It emits a horrendous high pitched frequency and seems to keep them away. A few neighbours have them too.

We got a couple of audio cat deterrents from Amazon after our neighbours car started pooing in the middle of our lawn (we have a cat who we let out supervised in the garden and I a. Don’t want her stepping in it as It’s kind of liquid and b. Don’t want her getting scared of her own garden). Only arrived today so can’t comment myself but they’ve stopped my sister having issues with a cat pooing in their front garden

motion sensor water sprinkler - it's safe and won't hurt them. They just won't like getting wet and so will avoid your garden.

I did a similar thread a few months ago and someone suggested a sonic repeller which I haven’t resorted to yet.

If you know which way they travel to get in you could try these (non harmful) plastic spikes from amazon but obviously it can’t go over the whole lawn. you can get some that you can attach to the top of your fence if you have one.

I’ve also got the get off gel. I know it doesn’t work for everyone but it seems to have worked in masking their scent.

When I pick up the poo, I also sprinkle chilli powder on the area to mask their smell.

I’ve also sprinkled spikey leaves and twigs around so make it an inhospitable environment!

The water thing sounds good too, and if you know what time they come over, you could get a super soaker and spray them yourself.

Honestly there’s so much advice online but it is really trial and error with working out what that cat doesn’t like. It’s an ongoing battle for me too!

We have had a cat problem and a fox problem, buggers are shitting on the lawn.

I have a sonic cat scare device and it works on Cats, one cat was sleeping in my garage so I got close with the device and
the fucker woke up and ran away, okay that was a little cruel but it proves it works. These devices are mainly solar powered
which charges the rechargeable batteries but need to be properly charged every so often. Some have a USB charge point.

Sadly the other device I bought to scare foxes didn't work on Foxes but now I have two that scare cats.
