I usually have my facial hair threaded, but I’ve been using wax strips on my Tom Sellick And tweezing out the stray eyebrow hairs. Hair on head, roots only, messaged My hairdresser who told me what to order and I’ve done my lockdown roots twice, my hair actually looks ok, when I can be arsed to dry it. My nails are normally gel and thats the treatment I miss the most, my nails are shocking. Razor leg hair and big toe hair 😂

Always do my own plucking of eyebrows and I shave rather than wax everywhere else. My nails are just natural but i am missing haircuts and highlights which I can’t do myself hence why I now have candy floss pink hair to try and cover the roots 🤦‍♀️

I currently have a graduated jaw length bob like my avatar but during lockdown it’s started growing out and I think I want to get something like this done when I can finally get my hair cut.

I was just wondering when it comes to beauty treatments how are you getting by during lockdown. Are you plucking your eyebrows? doing your own waxing? or letting it all grow until you can get to a salon?
So glad I have mine microbladed, would hate for them to be all out of shape and stuff so just pluck in between.
I've been doing my own waxing but can't wait to get back in for someone else to do it 😂
I've been playing around with so much filler, my face is a different shape to what it was before lockdown 🙈

The actual state of my eyebrows makes me look like I had a fringe cut in. No way am I touching them myself. It will bring back traumatic memories of the late 90’s early 00’s 😂

This is one this i love about lockdown. I was spending £35 a month on my eyebrows trecking over an hour to my eyebrow girl with another £10 for the train to get to her. Well, i learned how to wax and tint my own brows and i will never pay for them to be done again 😂 just put vaseline around your skin around your brow, tint for 10 mins, follow the natural shape of your brow and wax or tweeze! Perfect!

Have always plucked my own eyebrows, always done my own waxing. However my nails I get done professionally with shellac so they are weak and short at the moment!

I done my own dermaplaning and pluck my eyebrows. Also cut my hair as it was driving me mad, my roots are insane but I don't dare dye it myself. And that's it really. Might paint my nails but I miss shellac 😭
Oh I forgot to add I shave where
necessary although I've been tempted to give up on that 😂

I am looking forward to going back to a hairdresser to get my highlights done and getting a massage if I’m honest.
I tint my own eyelashes and do my own pedicure and anything else myself.
I could easily spent a fortune but also resent paying money on some beauty treatments 🤣
What do you use to tint your eyelashes if you dont mind me asking? I love doing beauty treatments at home and want to try it.
I've seen ads for at gone lash curl and lift treatments. I really want to try it I've had LVL done loads of times but I'm a bit nervous about this has anyone tried it?

Yes, long sighted. May ask hubby to pluck eyebrows.......

Will have a look at facial epilators, thanks
🌙

Morning all, I finally had delivered the facial epilators, you lot are stars!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I have used it twice now and its really great, doing my tash was a bit eye watering.

My chin will need a few sessions but better already.

I am however missing my lash lifts and tints. Has anyone tried one of those home kits off ebay/amazon? I'm a bit skeptical of attempting to do it myself with these chemicals... knowing me I'd probably accidentally get it in my eye and blind myself! Some things might be better off left to the professionals.
I made a spur of the moment decision to get one of those lash lift kits after seeing an ad on Instagram. Had it sitting in my drawer for ages as I was worried I’d end up going blind and was picturing myself having to tell everyone I’d gone blind purely because I used a lash lift kit off amazon 😂 Ended up plucking up the courage one day. It took soooo long to do as you have to do one eye at a time. The result was alright, no where near as good as when I’ve had them lifted professionally, but it did make a bit of a difference. It didn’t make my eyes swell or damage my lashes in any way but I’ve decided not to bother again as it was too much effort for very minimal gain, which probably only lasted a week or so, and I’m just too lazy basically 😂 if you’re hoping for a salon quality lash lift I’d save your money and time tbh and it’ll be even sweeter when you can go and get them done again!

I use rectofil tint, blue black. You need oxidant as well. Mix it all together until it is a paste. Vaseline around the eye area so the tint doesnt stain if you blob it on your skin. (I manage to every single time) Then with a small angled brush I just brush it onto my lashes, and then comb through with a spoolie. Ta da!!

I did a patch test with both just to make sure.

I'm not sure about the lash curl and lift treatments. They seem a bit tricky to so yourself. I keep seeing one advert on facebook (unsure which brand) and the models eyes look really swollen. 😬

I am epilating my legs instead of shaving because I got bored of shaving. 😂 It was a little painful but bearable and I got overly confident and epilated my underarms. Let me tell you, don’t do that unless you have taken a painkiller and have a large glass of white wine to hand - ouch! It was a case of “I have started so I shall finish”. However, having seen the results which is so far 4 days without regrowth, it was worth it.

My haircut is the same as the one in my avatar and I have been cutting my own fringe when it starts to go into my eyes. It’s a graduated bob, so the back was cut right to the nape of my neck. It is now growing out horribly, but I’m not letting anyone but my hairdresser touch it! I also need my honey blonde highlights redoing.

I am also desperate for a pedicure. I have shellac polish on my toes that has also grown out, leaving large cuticle gaps. I’m not going to buy specialist things to remove it myself so I’m just going to wait. 😂

I always pluck my own eyebrows so at least that’s not a change!

Shaving my legs, arm pits and bits.

I normaly have my eye brows waxed and tinted. I'm not messing about with them.
They are really messy and bushy but im really fair so from 5m+ away they dont look too bad. Tash is seems to have stopped growing. Must have reached its limit 😂

Missing my gel nails too, but can live with out them.

I'm lazy af when it comes to getting my hair cut, so that's not bothering me. But my 10m old is in desperate need for a trim.

The only thing I get done outside of home is my hair cuts. At home I’ve always done these so lockdown hasn’t changed my beauty routine.
-Eyebrow tweezing
-Eyebrow dyeing
-Laser hair removal
-Dermapen/Micro Needling on the face
-Hair colouring
-Hair treatments
-Manicures
-Pedicures
-Fake Tanning

I was in the middle of tattoo removal course and obviously can’t do that myself so yeah, apart from those appointments and the hairdressers I’ve not missed anything. A few years ago l was the opposite. I was running around to all sorts of appointments like spray tans, acrylic nail salons, eyelash extensions etc but I really cut back and found that watching a few youtube tutorials and buying the odd tool, you can really manage just doing it yourself.

When you say Laser Hair Removal yourself do you use a IPL type device and what would you recommend ? Ive been tempted to save for an ipl machine but then it seems you still have to shave as often so it sort of defeats purpose for me?
