Hi All,

Wasn't sure if this should be in here or in the advice section, but didn't really want to post it in the advice thread with such serious topics in there ❤

Does anyone treat themselves to a beauty or skincare advent and if so what one would you recommend?

I've been looking at Look Fantastics which launches tomorrow but haven't bought it yet as worried it might not be worth it.

Also, looked at White Company but feel like I want something with some makeup product's hence Look Fantastic,

Last year I got my partner Molton Brown and he got me Kiehl's. They were great! But still have some of the products not even opened yet so makes sense to change it up.

Some are crazy money, really don't want to pay over the odds, I felt like Asos had a good one and at £60 with discount wasn't a bad price then looked at some of the stuff you got in it and thought half of it will literally lie in the drawer and never get used, like a crystal things used for wrinkles 🤷‍♀️

I was always tempted but managed to talk myself out of it. It seems like they gathered all samples and made it into an advent calendar. I much rather research on what the items that I might like and spend the money on it.
I think cult beauty one is quite good if you are interest.

I’m on the waiting list for the cult beauty one, I bought it last yr & was well worth the money. Have also purchased the look fantastic & glossy box advents but none have arrived yet.

I treated myself to the SpaceNK one and I’m delighted with it. Has a few things I regularly buy and lots that I’ve been dying to try for ages.

If you don’t mind spoilers, check out Eltoria on YouTube. She reviews all the beauty advent calendars and will show you the complete contents of all of them. I spent hours watching her before deciding on the Look Fantastic calendar, though it’s for my friend as a gift, not myself. I do rather fancy one for myself though! In my opinion good vfm.

Has anyone bought the Marks and Spencer beauty advent calendar? At the moment it is £40 if you spend £30 on home, clothing or beauty.

I'm considering buying it as I was going to purchase other things anyway.

I’m not buying one this year. I got a 24-piece SpaceNK free gift and a Boy Smells candle with my Foreo purchase. It is different from the advent calendar.

I've bought the Look Fantastic and M&S advent calendars in the past -both of which were pretty good in the years I bought them. I do find with advent calendars that I don't use everything, though, and end up passing a lot of the stuff on to my mum and sister. This year I treated myself to the 'Glow Edit' from Cult Beauty. They have some pretty good edits for much more reasonable prices than a lot of the beauty advent calendars out there. Also, they tend to feature full or deluxe sizes rather than tiny sample pots. Some are showing as out of stock at the moment - but they may restock.

M&S beauty advent calendar is now available to buy for £40 when you spend £30. I buy this one every year because it’s amazing value.

I bought the John Lewis one too - it’s got a full size Dermalogica Bio-lumin C serum 🤩

I used to really like beauty advents but I've become quite fixed about what I use.

So I know my favourite mascara, face wash etc. Always interested to read about them though!

I prefer ones with a mix of things, like a perfume + candle, rather than loads of different moisturisers.

You have piqued my curiosity though OP, I'll have a look at the offerings this year.

Spacenk have a great competition for people that sign up for the waitlist of their amazing advent calendar - you could win £400!! Sign up here: https://www.spacenk.com/uk/spacenk-advent-calendar.html?referral=wxpmzf6&refSource=copy I had one a few years ago from Elemis and kept the box. If you collect little bits and bobs throughout the year you can easily make your own or one for a friend or family member. Keep your eyes out on facebook, I've had so many adds for free perfume/ makeup samples its unreal - you don't get everyone, but I've had prada, lancome etc and they can easily be used to make your own! That way you get the excitement but aren't shelling out a fortune!

Just looked for the Next one, is it out of stock already? Watched the YouTube vid to see some of the products, looks really good. The LF one isn’t all that this year apart from a few products.

It launches on Monday apparently, I’m quite interested in it too. Although really I should stick to the House of Fraser one, I don’t need two especially with the cost of bills going up but duck it😂
