They've taken hannahs mum with them and the older kids are going to a mainstream school for a few months.
Apparently it's a 12wk course that costs 17000 buck each
I don't know why I'm cracking up so much at the thought of the cowboy hat children joining the local Irish primary school and learning Irish for three months.

Seriously though where in the name of jesus does she get the energy from? Eight children, running a farm, a big social media presence, daily (?) gym workout, a husband who doesn't seem to get off her and now Ballymaloe 12 week course? I've a young baby and I barely have the energy to watch an episode of the Traitors lol

The pretence of the perfect life is one thing, but the journalist being really concerned that she barely gets a chance to speak to her alone, without her husband interrupting or refusing to give them 1-2-1 time, is more alarming.

Father-in-law owns five airlines. That’s all I needed to know about these people.

I think they have A LOT of help. Plus she’s said in interviews before that she suffers from chronic exhaustion quite often and some weeks she cannot even get out of bed. Think we only see what she wants us to see tbh.

Thank god there's finally a thread! This man is unhinged. Borderline bullying her into a date, demanding marriage and children immediately and just seems to completely control her whole life. It saddens me these people who say "she can just leave!" Can she? Are you aware of how difficult leaving domestic abuse is? Or the fact this man is from a family that own 5 airlines and could afford the best lawyers to fight for full custody. She's trapped and its heartbreaking.

So Hannah’s sister is pregnant with her 11th child.. Hannah will probably want to match that???
I get it’s their religion but I honestly couldn’t think of anything worse. Surely you could never give all of the kids the attention they need. I have 3 myself and I feel I stretch myself thin daily.

What wasn't said in that interview is the real worry. If you read between the lines it sounds borderline abusive. The first date doesn't sound at all romantic, it sounds like he used his connections and influence to get a seat next to her and has bullied her ever since. A man who has never had to hear the word no. Definitely a caged bird who needs to be set free.

Ballymaloe products are well known in Ireland and widely available for years. The co-owner was found to be in possession of child pornography, I can’t understand how a family who portray such a wholesome life as devoted parents would associate themselves with Ballymaloe. With their wealth and resources they could choose any cookery school in the world and they pick one with a convicted paedophile.

ETA…I took that as to help launch Ballymaloe products, not Ballerina Farm. If it’s the latter I think it will be more harmful to their brand than helpful.

7 births he didn't allow her to have pain relief. She had am epidural once when he wasn't present and said it made the birth enjoyable and nice. He ruined 7 of her birth experiences 😭

I am fascinated and horrified in equal measure by this account. Smoke and mirrors. Poor woman. It’s the usual LDS trope of good-looking, hardworking woman, churning out the kids, subservient to the ‘head of the household’. I feel her life is so hard. Have a baby and enter a beauty contest 2 weeks later. The horror! Maybe she’s delighted with life, who knows. But to me it looks like she has very little choice in the matter. She is absolutely beautiful. Which of course adds to the perfection of the life.
Have you read article in the (I think) New York Times? Excellent article.

Why WHY does she squeeze herself into the corner and cook on that tiny table when their kitchen area is absolutely enormous?! Absolutely drives me mad

He has about 20 staff on the farm, she has fuck all help with all of his crotch goblins
I think that she has more help than they let on - yes they do the trad wife thing - but only part of it's real (him being an arrogant prat is real) - part of it is just branding for income so what you see on camera and insta isn't real all of the time.

Same, how did she hide it for so long. Another child for the other kids to rear!
That’s absolutely correct, it’s quite unfair to have that many kids in this day & age, expecting older ones to raise the younger ones is utter bullshit.
You cannot share love & attention equally amongst that many, they may the have money to buy help, but it’s not the same thing.

If she’s in bed with exhaustion for a week at a time, how horrid is he pushing for more kids? I bet he makes her lose weight quickly too.
He can hire a babysitter when he wants a
date night, but not a fully time nanny or two with all of the money he has.

I don’t even get Mormon’s granted my only knowledge of them comes from The Book of Mormon 😂 but seems like such ridiculous made up religion. Also how are they all so rich?!
I don’t think Hannah’s family were particularly well off. Comfortable yes, but certainly not rich. They owned a floristry business. It’s Dans family that are loaded. I believe there’s a lot of money in these religious organisations (partly because of the fact they pay no tax) so I would imagine they keep most of the money circulating between themselves. Obviously that is me being speculative but I’m more than certain that’s how it works in these cult like religious groups.

They don't really get to be kids for long, they have a lot of responsibility for the younger ones. I agree that kids should have chores and help out, without question, but it's excessive. That's a weird comment about how Lois is going to be a great mother, imagine she decided she didn't want kids. I don't think that would even an option for them.
