We are a team of 10 and last week half of us returned to the office with the other half working from home. This week we swapped over so the other half in the office/others working from home. I can see this being the plan for the rest of the year to be honest but I much prefer being in the office!! It’s like a holiday from my kids

I work in admin and have been on Furlough since 21st March. A few in the company are WFH however I believe most of us are furloughed.

Nope, and the provisional date keeps getting pushed back. I do feel ready to be doing more of a mix of office/home working and think I’d be more productive if I could have that.

Ive been back full time in the office since June 1st. We are a small company though and the others are only coming in a few days a week and working from home the rest of the time.
I'd rather be in the office - nice big desk, better coffee and no kids around to bother me

I'm still at home. Before all this happened is work from home twice a week and always thought it would be great to work from home full time. Now though it's doing my head in. I even miss my co-workers. I'm the only woman in a team of men so things have to be bad when I'm missing their ugly mugs!

We are still working from home most days but we can go into the office if we need to (has always been the case) there’s just a lot less space as it’s a shared office/hot desking and they’ve removed most of the stations now. I probably go in once or twice a week. Other than less people around nothing else has changed much. I hate working from home and feel so much more productive in the office!

Anyone using the flexi ticket scheme to get back to the office? If I stopped working from home and went back in five days a week it comes out like getting one free day of travel per week with the savings on offer. That doesn't do enough to make me want to go back. Some people the flexi option is actually more expensive and you cannot get a paper version so people who don't want to use technology are left out. It hasn't been thought through.

I have but I am only back 2-3 days a week and it works out cheaper for me than buying day tickets. Once I work 4 days a week or more its more cost effective for me to buy weekly/monthly tickets. I suspect it is more expensive than a season ticket, but I am not expect to work in London more than another 5 months.

My husband works in an office. (Not in anyway key workers) They haven’t furloughed anyone and no one is working from home, this has been the case throughout the entire duration of lockdown, the only time he has worked from home is when we had suspected COVID. Other than that he and all the staff have been in the office throughout.

This is the same for my husband although they have furloughed some staff, but hubby has been at work throughout wasn’t allowed to work from home they said he had to go in!!

I’ve done two days in the office since lockdown. I much prefer it to working from home. My work load has massively reduced and I’ve gone from working 4/5 days a week to 1/2!

Wow, I’m surprised his employers have kept the office open if they are not key workers and are able to work from home!

I don't know anyone back working in an office. I would say the vast majority of my friends or companies I know about are saying from september-ish the office will be optional at very limited capacity and are currently working towards a full return to the office for 2021.

No, and no idea when. Our company can operate pretty much entirely remotely so I don't think there will be a rush.

Work in local government, in a huge building and officially we all working from home until January although you are allowed to work in the building. They have COVID proofed the building and meeting rooms already, I’ve started going back in a couple of days a week for sanity reasons and it’s like 20m apart social distancing because it’s so quiet

The advice was if you can work from home do. If you can’t, you go to work and your employer must put things in place for you to be able to adhere to social distancing guidelines. One person able to work from home for a week doesn’t necessarily mean that that would work long term for a full team...
