😂 Yea you are def right it’s worse among African Americans, at least a lot of wealthy/successful Arabs stick to Arab women. No they don’t reject someone because he is darker thanks God.
In songs no but I have seen it in poems and also the fact that Arabs refer to the moon for beauty I think it refers to a fair, bright and beautiful face (el gamarr).
the moon refers more to beauty (all kinds and colors) and standing out among others, I’ve never heard about the fair and bright thing before

i heard he abused her while they were in London while he was intoxicated and that she was pregnant and aborted it because she doesnt want to have a kid with him
Girl who did you hear that from 😂 because I heard something completely different 😂I heard from someone who was staying in the same hotel a couple of days before they left. He kept going to the lobby and acting frantic, shouting at employees. And that it looked like he was high, apparently he was doing cocaine🤷🏻‍♀️ Either way her family are dumb as duck for letting her marry him. He is a slut a literal walking STD, yeah that’s right he gave a escort chlamydia in Marbella 2016💀💀💀💀when she was going to expose him he paid her like €20k I knew this marriage wasn’t going to last it’s not even been that long too😂😂😂😂 these influencers are so pathetic and empty on the inside, god help them.

Yeah same when you’re complementing a girl قمر it’s not because of her skin just because she’s pretty😂

She started bullying this younger girl for “stealing her look” basically and was talking tit... like ma’am you’re not even original yourself lmfao

Tbh I think y’all are getting too pressed about what men like or do not like. Arab women are beautiful regardless of their shade. I think attraction is really based on features and what a man looks for in a woman. I’ve had this convo with an Arab guy friend and he said that basically they’ll duck anything...White Black Chinese lmfaooo but when it comes to settling down skin colour and these standards do not drive them to marry a person it’s their attraction to them physically and their attraction to their character which is based on cultural standards too...let me use Rawan as an example...most of us have Bedouin ancestry or come from traditional people so even tho she is very beautiful the average self respecting Arab man wouldn’t marry her despite he her beauty and Snow White skin because she does not embody Arab traditions and would probably fail at passing them on to her kids...

And tbh especially in Kuwait now no one gives a tit about skin colour so idk what ur talking about. Plus woman are becoming more independent now and setting their own standards so men just follow what’s in trend now tbh
I agree, every Arab woman is beautiful in her own right, we’ve given the world so much and inspired so many. I don’t understand this division, it’s so stupid and such a dated way of thinking. Aesthetically arab women are more diverse than ever, embracing their natural skin shades, hair colours etc. I agree on Rawan as the example, arab men are very much traditionalists who just want someone who has good morals they can pass on to their kids.

Thank you, I'm not a racist and never had the intention to offend 5aleeji women. As I said I have seen absolutely stunning Saudi girls in London so ..
It's like saying that some wealthy Lebanese men go for blond European ladies, does it mean there is no blond Lebanese or that Lebanese women are ugly ?
I feel she has something against light-skinned Idk it's weird. Yea she is basically saying that foreign women are cheap then lol, and not that beautiful.

Yeah I don’t agree with she said either. I feel like khaleeji men marry other Arabs because they simply want a change of culture/different prespective, or they want their kids to how features khaleeji women don’t typically possess. How does it make sense for it to inexpensive when there are high ranking sheikhs/sheikhas from the almaktoum, alsaud, althani families with Moroccan, Lebanese, Iraqi, Syrian mother’s? Let’s not give the impression that the women from these countries, are any less than khaleeji women. If non khaleejis are good enough for royalty who are you to speak on the matter?

wow if that's true about bu khalid that's crazy. he was filming almost daily while on his honeymoon which I felt like fatima didn't appreciate and not to mention he stayed in london much longer claiming "work" and went on to doha for more work at that perfume exhibition. i knew it wouldn't last but i didn't think it would end before she even stepped foot in kuwait :X

That's what I said in my comments. I talked about the cultural reasons (men wanting more social freedom, less restrictions, no arranged marriage) but I think you guys all misinterpreted my comments because I added the "financial reason" as well.

Umm did no one actually read my comments?

The thing is, some khaleeji men do marry women from outside the GCC for financial reasons especially if their Bedouin tribe extends to Iraq, Syria, and Jordan. They marry their distant relatives from Levant/Sham countries outside the GCC. 3adi and it happens. There are also urban families/clans/confederations that have extended branches in Syria, Kuwait, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, etc., so some of the khaleeji branches sometimes marry their distant relatives outside the GCC. With the shia khaleeji also, I noticed they sometimes marry their cousins in Iraq, Iran, and Lebanon. In all cases with all these different khaleeji social groups, it's less expensive for them because the wedding cost and Mahr can be so exorbitant in our countries + our women can be very demanding and spoiled. ‏so they prefer someone outside the region but he wants to do it the "right way" (arranged marriage). I personally have several relatives who got married to Iraqi women this way. ‏عادي مو عيب ولا حرام

I find that hard to believe bc she was posting snaps of herself doing ads between her engagement/wedding and after her honeymoon. it has to be something bigger than that..

I asked several native speakers and they told me it means that the face is as bright as the moon, extremely beautiful.

What about those who marry North African ladies. Latifa al Maktoum is half Algerian and there are plenty of examples..

Yeah but just because they marry North African women, doesn’t mean they treat them better. That Sheikh literally abuses his half North African daughters, god knows how he treats his non Khaleeji wives. He probably manipulates them and knows no one and no tribe leaders will hold him accountable. He made his Lebanese wife go crazy by refusing to let her see her own daughter after HE cheated on her... then they turned the daughter against her mom as well.... I doubt the same thing would happen if the wife was khaleeji

guys can we let this topic go? I don't think q8gamer meant anything discriminatory towards non-khaleeji woman and vice versa for others. All women are beautiful regardless of their skin tone and people can marry whoever they want.

Im not saying he treats them better but it was just to show that many royals marry women who are not distant cousins or something similar.
Tbh I think he would treat his fully khaleeji daughters the same way if they try to rebel. Plus the nationality of the mother isn’t something really important for Arabs since the ethnicity/nationality comes from the father.

It’s not about the color as I mentioned it’s more about standing out, like when you look at the sky you see the moon before the stars because it stands out. The thing is, as you know most middle eastern people don’t have light skin, so we someone say your are so beautiful like the moon for example they mean you look good and you stand out among others, it’s not about being lighter than other girls you know.

Just answered what some native speakers told me but interpretation is something personal after all. Anyway I didn’t mean being light makes you special or something, you can have the darkest skin and have gorgeous features

Yeah opinions vary. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to be mean or rude just giving some other explanation about this thing.
