I’ve been on it 3 weeks and I reckon I’ve lost 10 pounds which I haven’t been able to do for at least 5 years on diets etc just wondering what the doc suggested for you to try ?
That’s brilliant! Well done. My doc didn’t suggest anything else, he was just quite dismissive about Saxenda. I’d be so happy to lose even 10lbs.

I’m not going to have a loss tomorrow and probably a gain. I’ve been ill with a cough and head cold since Sunday and I’ve been feeding it with cake and party food left over from my daughter’s birthday at the weekend.

I’m still not eating a massive amount but it’s 100% bad stuff with the exception of homemade soup and a pear I had today.

Same, I've got a horrible cold, I've been off work for nearly a week with it which seems ridiculous, definitely not covid I've had a negative PCR. Anyway, I have also eaten nothing but crap, cake biscuits etc so I'll definitely have a gain. I also haven't had an injection since Saturday so I'm hoping when I start again it'll kick in fast and I'll lose what I've put on.

Hope you feel better soon @PrincessCharming ❤

Marking my spot here as I'll be starting Saxenda in the next few days - just trying to shift some unrelated nausea first (wouldn't want to pile nausea on nausea!). My endocrinologist (who is also a bariatric surgery specialist) prescribed it as I have a large amount of weight to lose and I'm not so keen on weight loss surgery. Costs c. 250 euro in Ireland for 5 x 6mg pens, 100 needles and sharps bin 🤓

I do mine about 9.30am each day and usually can’t touch food in the evening. I can eat more in the day but more often than not I can’t finish what I start.

I’m 18 lbs down in approximately 10 weeks.

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while! Life and health issues (non Saxenda related) got in the way so I stopped for, must be about five months now.

Now I’ve got the other things sorted I want to get back on it. I lost 20lbs in a month first time round (I have a lot to lose). I’m hoping to start back again on Monday.

Lovely to see everyone who has lost do so well and I’m sorry for those it didn’t work for, but you’ll find something that does work!

20lbs off as of this morning. I think I’m at about 11 weeks in.
Wow great work!!!

I’ve just started week 3 and had to go up to 1.2 today, bit worried about how many pens I’ll get through to meet my goal weight now, but for me it’s worth the cost so far!

First week lost 3.5lb and second 2lb, was a bit disappointed with the second weigh in but I actually felt dizzy a few times last week so wonder if I wasn’t eating enough and body has gone into ‘save fat’ mode. Have been making more of an effort to eat the last few days.

in terms of side effects I’ve had some nausea and some heartburn but nothing major. I’m finding that eating little and often instead of 3 meals helps.

how are you all getting on?

I faint when getting bloods done. I have to lie down!

I weirdly like doing my Sax jabs.
i might have to because 20lbs this sounds tantalising!!! obvs i’m taking some anxiety meds before had because i can see me getting stressed and i haven’t even ordered yet!

My first pen was in the fridge for 3 weeks before I plucked up the courage to start!

My incentive in the end was a dress I wanted to feel more comfortable in at a wedding. I lost 7lbs in time for the wedding and the dress was lovely on.

I’m on day 4 now and what I’ve noticed is a change in my mindset! It’s like my brain has kicked in and said it’s not a magic pen, you need to put work in and I’ve never felt so committed, in fact my meals for the past 4 days have left me so satisfied. It’s a great motivator actually!

I've read this thread with interest and part of me does wonder whether it's more than just the pen? Like 'I'm paying £XXx for this so I'll put extra effort in as well' - have there been any trials done where one lot of people have the pen and another lot just eat healthily?

Not knocking anyone it's working for, of course (or I wouldn't be thinking of doing it myself!), just wondering.

The clinical trials involved placebo pens (where people thought they were getting medication but they weren’t) and they lost weight too. Not as much as the ones who actually got Saxenda but there was a pattern of weight loss in both groups.

I’m also from Ireland and finding it hard to secure an appointment with an endocrinologist due to backlog. I was going to just buy it from the Uk but apprehensive just in case I get really sick with it.

Nikkinoo,
Can you remember when you started back in May on day one how did it take for the Saxenda to kick in? I’m not feeling anything. I’m still able to eat my meals and a small snack in between. I do eat healthy but it’s the snacking that gets me.

Hi,
Did you get sorted? Im in Ireland and received a delivery today from a different UK clinic
Hello, can I ask where you ordered from to be delivered to Ireland?
