Or worse, meetings where the Chair reads out emails that have previously been sent to all meeting participants so they are aware of updates. Yes, we can read, thank you for wasting an hour of my life.

I am included in a group in work no idea why though, its nothing to do with my work.
I make excuses each month to get out of attending the meeting where I would be forced to listen to updates that have nothing to do with me and I have nothing to update.
My immediate bosses attend each time and know I have nothing to add but wont remove me from it. I have asked and been told its something I need to do.
So today I can either attend and waste an hour of my day to say I have nothing to add or use one of my regular excuses to get out of it.

We’ve started having one where we spend half an hour going through all of our projects and add timings to everything. Without fail I leave that call and within a day something changes. But also why would I care about what everyone else is doing? I just want to stay in my lane, do my work and go home.
If I hear my boss say “smash it” one more time I’m going to lose my bleeping mind!
