Like the above poster says, a lot but also nothing at all.
Essentially, when she was younger, 7/8 she 'felt' broke because sometimes her parents only had 30 dollars to last them till the end of the month, or sometimes they wouldn't know if they could pay rent.
Basically painted Mik to be a liar (again can be taken with a pinch of salt we all know she doesn't have the cleanest track records).
No mention of Atis
Actually, she said they had 30 dollars for groceries for the week. Those were her exact words. They was never poor because 30 dollars for groceries alone, for the week is actually a lot of money for most people.
I mean I would never think 30 Australian dollars is a lot for groceries? That’s £15 a week for a family of what? 4 of them is it or more? That’s ridiculously low surely 🫣

It’s definitely not a lot - but back then (5-10+ years ago) you would be able to get a pack of chicken breast, mince beef, pasta, rice and some fruit and vegetables for that.. now lol not so much!
They’ve probably never had a relationship considering the half sister said she didn’t even have one with her dad… probably haven’t even met
In fairness it’s not lol. 30$ in Australia to feed two grown adults and two kids 3x a day is not a lot.
I honestly get the impression that their parents didn’t manage money well (vacations, designer birthday presents but only $30 for groceries doesn’t sound very balanced), maybe that’s why their kids will do anything for financial stability/to be able to tap their card for anything. From all of the old insta pictures that have been dragged up it seems like they’ve always wanted more and aren’t bothered about lying/embellishing to make it seem like they’re rich. Even though Anna has a lot of money now I still think she overspends and shows off a lot, all the flights she buys for everyone and buying her mum hundreds of gifts.
Aren’t there pictures of the dad with the half sister at a baby shower or something?
Yes - her kid… she said her dad wasn’t in her life but she’s glad he’s in her kids or something along those lines.. so I doubt her and Anna had a relationship or knew each other if she didn’t with her dad
Exactly. She said 30 dollars for groceries over 10 years ago. That is enough for a family of 4 that is living a normal life. Onky if you have expensive taste, you will think that's not enough money. Real poor people can cope with 30 dollars for the week with just normal amount of food.
Don't you think that is a contradiction? From her saying in another video, that her mum saved up to buy her 500 dollars designer bag or purse, with my last bit of money. So they can afford that amount of money for one item, but can't afford groceries? Real poor people are not concerned with designer stuff when you have real bills and money problems.

Exactly.. I only watched part of her vid but she’s definitely trying to cover up her previous lies and sounding like she’s even making up the whole $30 thing.. haha probs a one off and she’s making it a thing.
Like I said, her parents didn’t seem to manage money well? We all know/have seen people who struggle with money and will put designer things on a credit card to show off. I’m not agreeing with Anna’s side of things at all & I think she’s been pulling the wool over everyone’s eyes for years, she’s a scam artist. But it just doesn’t seem super far fetched to me that her parents were bad with money, bought unnecessary things when they could/because they got paid, and then only had $30 left at the end of the month. Anna has obviously used that to spin a sob story about being ‘poor’, when it’s likely it was just crappy money management.
There's no way you could feed a family for a week on $30 even 10 years ago. Not with proper meals got breakfast lunch and dinner.
I’m not on Anna’s side at all but this is a bit of a reach on Mikaela’s part. it’s way more likely that TikTok just automatically filtered the comment based on what she had written than Anna had blocked it in some way.
I'm not talking about her parents being bad with money. That point is unnecessary. I am strictly talking about the fact that her family were never poor. End of. You are making an entirely different argument. Anyone poor or rich can be bad with money. But she was never poor.
A millionaire can be bad with money, does that mean they are poor? No, they are still a millionaire.
There spending never stopped them from being able to live the lavish life. It didn't lead them to being broke. They got richer and richer.
No you couldn’t - but my point is you could get a lot more for $30 back then than you can now so they wouldn’t have been bone thin starving.
I think you’re forgetting that $30 today will buy you absolutely jack tit but back then Curtis stone was massive for doing the “feed a family of 4 for under $10” and you’d still have some for leftovers! I’ve been poor like I mean actually dirt poor to the point I had to beg someone for 5 cents. If you’re genuinely poor you’re not saving up for designer bags, you’re barely affording milk and bread! She’s tried to be relatable and It’s absolutely blown back in her face

To Anna, that's nothing because she really is rich and 30 dollars is feels 1 dollar to her. But when you are truly poor, 30 dollars is enough. Especially years ago.
