Animal attacks and deaths

I wanted to start this thread for those interested In animal attacks and kills. I have been done a rabbit hole recently about Timothy Treadwell the guy who went to live among brown bears in Alaska. He survived for 13 years without being killed, but finally became a victim of bears back in 2003 when he was attacked and killed, along with his girlfriend.

I feel for his girlfriend though, she was apparently scared of bears, but decided to trust Timothy and go live with him in the Alaskan wilderness. He was a deluded guy for sure. He seemed to think he could live his life with wild bears, and that they were friendly with him. His delusions killed them both.

The audio footage was never released of their last moments, but the legendary documentary/film maker Werner Herzog, who was behind the film documentary on Timothy, "The Grizzly Man" has heard those final moments that were recorded, but he never released it out of respect for their family and friends. I can't imagine the pain and fear of being eaten alive by a Grizzly bear. Terrifying.

Anyway, I just wonder if any of you have animal attacks/experiences/death stories you are haunted by. There are others I will post on here when I can. I find it even more fascinating how people will return to where they were attacked and continue on doing the same thing as before their attacks. I would probably never do the same thing again, it's not wise.

This story is unbelievable. How he survived after enduring all of that I will never know.

It's part 1 and 2 of the story. Starting with the attack and then how he got to safety. Just absolutely incredible.

I am still haunted by accidently watching some footage of a man being mauled by 2 xl bullies. I stopped watching as soon as i realised what it was.

Two more mountain lion attacks. I don't know, but it seems that these kind of attacks are becoming more common in the states. They are still rare, but I've seen mountain lion footage where they aren't backing off from humans like you'd normally expect. There's a reason I'm not sure introducing Wolves and Lynxs in Britain is the best idea. Currently we can all hike in Britain without concern of a wild animal attack.

Bull sharks and tiger sharks scare me more than a great white shark. Bull sharks, especially, are naturally aggressive too. They can also navigate salt and fresh water.

We have had multiple fatal & life changing shark attacks here in Australia over the past 12 months but specifically the past 5 weeks. Most recently have been bull sharks.

In my area there was a child that got attacked that made headline news. I am absolutely bleeping scared stiff of them and if I see someone walking one on the same side of the road, on or off leash, I immediately cross over and look around for something high I could jump onto in case it went for me

I saw this on Tiktok the other day and some of the footage was really graphic. A tourist tried to take selfies with a wild snow leopard and unsurprisingly ended up being mauled. Other people managed to get her away and she did survive, but the injuries in the video looked awful

Bull sharks are arguably the worse. They are aggressive over their area of population.

I was going to add a story of a person I read about falling into a river and killed by piranhas but when searching the story I couldn’t find it but found two others I hadn’t heard about within the last month:

Damn, poor girl. I never knew Piranha just attacked, I thought there had to be some sign of blood or something to attract them.
