I really enjoyed after life 1
Only on episode 3 of series 2 and all ready thinking I should just give up .. should I just keep going. 1 was definitely better than this time.

I haven’t watched series 2 yet but enjoyed the first one. I’ve been putting it off as I’m seeing all over Facebook how sad it is, and I’m worried that’s because the dog might die in it.

I’ve been through that with Ricky Gervais once in Derek and I don’t think I could take it at the minute!

Loved series one. Binged series two last night and for someone who never cries. I sobbed all the way through.
I’ve just finished watching series 2. Bawled my eyes out. Was a bit down today anyway so don’t think that helped.

The dog is fine!

Personally I do think from a comedy perspective series 1 was much better, however series 2 was still good. series 2 has such a wonderful message and had me absolutely sobbing by the end

@karenjet - the dog is fine!

Just started watching After life 1. I've never known a TV show that has brought out so many different emotions in me. One minute I was laughing out loud then next I was crying. I love the relationship with the dog. My mum has dementia and is also in a care home. The scenes with the dad are reminding me how many times I've blushed in front of the carers.

Love this show, it’s a show that has everything and makes you think about life.
I really want my husband to watch it but he isn’t a fan of Ricky.

Just finished S2, absolutely loved season one. Enjoyed season two, in particular the scenes at the tea shop and bench, really emotional and perfection. Don’t enjoy the scenes with the psychiatrist.

A line that really stuck with me was:
“I’m not well, but I remember what it’s like to feel normal so just do an impression of that”😭

We've just finished binge watching both series, I probably shouldn't have as I've just lost my grandad and cried at every single episode.
I think it's good and worth watching, but it's not the sort of programme I'd watch again if that makes sense?

Finished season 2. My eyes are sore from crying so much. There will definitely be a season 3 how it ended. I just love the dog so much. So glad the dog didn't die. My heart couldn't take it. I enjoyed season 1 and 2. Can't wait for 3.

I loved both seasons. The only bit I don’t like is the therapy sessions. I just don’t find them funny at all. I’m in no way a prude (I’m probably the filthiest minded of my friends, and always make innuendos!) but I just don’t like those scenes for some reason

I'm half way through Season 2 and alternate between sobbing with laughter and sadness. "Snot curdling bleep" is a personal favourite of mine lol. But, like a poster above mentioned, really not feeling the therapy sessions. They jar me for some reason.

“Good night. Please say it back, I won’t be able to sleep” This line broke my heart, I started sobbing and didn’t stop 😭😭😭

It just didn't seem appropriate for a therapist to behave that way. He wasn't funny.. I watched The Stranger (Paul Kaye is in that) before this. Totally creeped out by him now :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: Just loved the power of the dog to keep him together

The therapist scenes were savage! I couldnt believe they got away with some of it.

But, oh wow. What a wonderfully written show 🥰 I sobbed as hard as I laughed! Im not a Gervais fan but he got it so right with this.
