I’d be really careful about writing anything on social media as it may jeopardise your case. I’d ask your solicitor before you do just to be on the safe side. I think after the court case it’s fine to write as she’ll have been sentenced and its on the record.

Anyone got any advice for my friend ??

Long story short I discovered my cleaner of approx four years had been stealing from me ( some cash, some minor items and my late mothers jewellery) . I involved the police and she was taken to station where she confessed. The police have said she will be sentenced in around 6-9 months time.



The thing I have a huge issue with is she is still cleaning for other people and obviously still has the opportunity to steal from them. I don’t know who her clients are.



is there any way ( legally) that I can either warn people via social media or find out who her clients are and warn them?

Thank you, its actually my friend and the whole story is even worse really . She’s going to speak to the police officer involved to see if she can do anything x

my friend found her on Facebook and recommended to another friend ( who she has obviouslywarned) but no clue who her other clients are

she works independently but doesn’t have a page as such

i thought the same re social media although I was thinking could my friend then be done for harassment?

That is a huge issue, she could've stolen and still be stealing from them. Does she work independently or for an agency?
If she works independently and has any social media pages where she advertises her services and clients post reviews that could be a good way to find and warn potential and current clients.

I'm sure it's not illegal to put out a post on social media, since she's already confessed and you're not spreading anything malicious about her. It's all factual and you'd be doing the other clients a huge favour I'm sure!

As a previous cleaner, this really annoys me.
