I used to love the Yellow Pages series with James Nesbitt.

Firstly, the one where he wants to join a yoga class and sees himself a more of an intermediate actually, then needs a chiropractor because he injured himself in class.

Secondly, the one where he made a hack job of his niece’s hair. He then took her to the salon explaining to the hairdresser what happened whilst shouting at her because his sister outside and he wanted her to think that she did it.

I really miss those ads.

I loved the skoda fabia ad where they made a car out of cake and the song was 'raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens ' . Apparently it was real cake but it went off in the studio. Then they made a more sporty car and they had the same song but a metal version and a more evil version of the advert . I think it was great, if I needed a small car I'd buy one just based on the advert.

Also I've heard so many songs I like that I've only discovered cos they were on adverts.

A Kingsmill Bread advert from 15ish years ago.

I moved hundreds of miles from home in my early 20’s for work and there was a lovely older man who was like a father figure to me - his children were ages with me and his family used to have me round for Sunday dinner. Him and his lovely wife were Irish and they used to always say “you’re lovely to me, you are” when I turned up with a small gift on a Sunday. They both sadly passed away in 2005.

A couple of years later a Kingsmill advert came on tv and I burst into tears. The song was by Lucky Jim and called ‘You’re lovely to me’. I still always hear the song in my head when I see Kingsmill bread and I remember them with such fondness.

I used to really like the one where a man is with his partner when they see her friend who wears glasses. While the two women are elsewhere, the man steals some of the bespectacled woman's chocolate Hobnobs then mocks her by putting one of the biscuits over each eye while mimicking her voice. When he takes them off, he sees they've both come in and are staring at him and he looks really embarrassed! That always used to amuse me!

The red car and the blue car had a race
all red wants to do is stuff his face…

I loved the my little pony ad with the little girl riding her bike (sadly I didn’t get the bike with a basket)

the beer one, where the phone rings in the dusty office-wrong number-they didn’t get complaints

Um bongo (where never allowed the juice tho)

I used to like the Bran Flakes one from the 90s ('they're tasty, tasty, very-very tasty') and also the Kellogg's Fruit and Fibre ones from that decade ('....apples, hazelnuts, bananas, raisins, coconuts, sultanas...').

You've been Tango'd with the orange man slapping people.

Head teachers and parents were complaining because kids were slapping each other around the face in school and at home.

THe Lucozade ad, with the guy wearing socks and sliders, hula-hooping to the song 'Hotstepper'. Puts me in good form every time!

The Lacoste advert, I don't see that many adverts because I'm watching TV shows on streaming services.

This advert has Wallace and Gromit influence all over it with that packing machine, cracking advert.

I'm in Caffe Nero and they have literally just played that bit of jazz music they used to use in this advert.

I love the Extra chewing gum advert on at the moment, where everyone is venturing outside/back to work after lockdown and ‘It’s all coming back to me now’ is playing 😂

I loved the song in this (really old, 1989!) ad so much that I called a local radio station one night to ask if they knew what it was and if so, could they play it. Another listener called in to say that he was a local DJ and that he had two copies of the song, and would I like one? Long story short, we were put in touch with each other and it turned out that he lived quite close to me. Less than 24 hours later, he dropped off the 7in single to my door. I still have it! Enjoy...♥♥

I've just been reading the adverts you hate thread, and noticed that someone asked if there was an adverts you love thread. So I thought I would give this thread a bump.
