I asked this in the groomed and polished but didn’t get any replies. I’m going to France soon and have heard about A313, is it worth getting some?

I had to google what it was, I think it has retinol palmytate rather than tretinoin? It would, therefore, not be as ‘intense’ as tret, which you might prefer? That being said, you can buy stuff with retinol palmytate in the UK (might be cheaper in France, though).

However, I don’t know very much about these things so hopefully someone really knowledgeable will be along shortly with a proper answer!

ETA: found a reasonably helpful blog here: https://frenchskinlab.com/blogs/res...0.12% retinol, dryness often linked to retinol.

Thanks, that’s really helpful!

I just bought luminous silk but … I am not loving it? How does everyone apply it? I’m using a brush. It just feels a bit meh?

I tried and tried it but just didn’t get the hype, to me it was just a foundation.

My skin went into meltdown after a holiday and a cold, and I ordered something that’s meant to be like Estée Lauder advanced night repair but massively amped up, and that combined with some azelaic acid has transformed my skin in like a week, I cannot believe the change.

I tried with a brush and just couldn’t do it, I put it on with my fingers wait a minute or so then very lightly dab with a sponge blender to get rid of any excess

Id like to know more about any transformational product, pretty please!

It’s called manyo (or man:yo) active biome ampoule. It just feels like a drink of water for my skin!

Has anyone got/used the Chanel cream bronzer and is it worth the money? I’ve only ever used a powder bronzer so the thought of cream is a bit alien.

Yes I have used it and really liked it, found it lasted for ages too. I am now using the XxL Revolution cream bronzer and find the lightest one is just as good colour wise etc. I do find them both a bit light in colour so also buy the medium one to mix in. I think Chanel has now introduced a slightly darker colour too.

Its really really good and very much worth it
I think though at the moment there is some sort of production issue - its out of stock everywhere the last while (Ive even had people checking duty frees)

Really like the A313, I do find it more gentle than tret but still had to build up use. Some people don’t use moisturiser with it as they feel it’s moisturising itself in it’s formulation but I always sandwich it between hyaluronic acid and moisturiser.

Duty Free at Stansted hasn’t had it in stock for the last two years. I try to get some every time I fly from there

I’ve started using tret. I’ve gone for 0.025% and have been using it twice a week for 2 weeks and so far, so good! I’ve been making sure to keep my skin moisturised. I was thinking about building it up to 3 times a week, see how that goes. I’m guessing the goal is NOT to build up to using it every night? Regardless of strength?

I’ll try this. I just can’t see it being worth the hype at the minute but aware that there might be a better application method. Not a huge beauty blender fan but will give it a shot!

Thank you! And do you use a brush to put it on? Or like a beauty blender?
