I’ve tried everything potion and lotion going since my teens to get rid of my acne and still suffering now at nearly 28.

To top it off I seem to have rosacea on my nose now 😫😫

The only thing that’s ever helped me is antibiotics from my GP. I’ve done several courses of Oxytetracycline over the years which really helps. None of the topical stuff has ever made a difference.

Have you tries Benzoyl Peroxide and/or proper retinol like Retin-A or had anything prescribed from the doctor?
Do you think it could be hormonal? Is it diagnosed rosacea?

A huge contributing factor in Rosacea flare ups is inflammation in the body and stress!

Do you eat a fairly balanced diet?
Do you take any supplements ie. Probiotics?
Are you on any contraception that may affect your skin?

Iv been having microneedling obviously when beauty can open and my cystic acne is clearing.also a minor chemical peel every 4 weeks is helping rosecea.if you have a skin specialist beautician near you maybe have a chat to them

I suffered with a rosacea outbreak after I had my son, I tired laser, everything and nothing really helped.
I do genuinely believe that skin is affected from your insides - I took burdock root (it cleanses the kidneys and liver and the leftover of your blood in a short context) and zinc sulfate and my skin has never been clearer.

I also used my pharmacy, took a pic of my skin and got some finecea azealic acid. I couldn’t be without it.

gentle lactic acid is good for topical spots(like one or two) but i honestly believe the burdock root and the zinc helped me more than any cream or treatment. Good luck! I know how hard it is to wake up and hate your face 🧡

A good probiotic has helped me in the past. No spicy foods, cooler water to wash and bathe and avoid the sun. These are things I’ve had to do. I don’t always follow them and I can guarantee a bad breakout that takes ages to go. Currently I’m using antibiotic cream on one particular patch. Paula’s Choice does skin care for anti redness, the toner is good.

I have had acne since I was about 11, I’m 32 now and honestly feel like I tried everything since I first when to the GP at 13! Antibiotics, the pill, topical treatments, roaccutane twice (worked brilliantly but then both times acne crept back after a couple of years). One thing that I have had really good results from over the last few years is an LED treatment gadget. The one I got is Lumie Clear but I think there are others similar. My mum has rosacea and she’s used one too which has really helped her skin. You’re supposed to use it every day, I did for a few weeks when I first got it and it really got my acne back under control. Now I’m really slack at using it but do come back to it if I’m having a bad flare up

Paulas Choice BHA 2% is amazing.
Another vote for Paula's Choice. They actually do a full range of redness relief products which deliver excellent results.

In terms of makeup to cover it, go for something with a green tint as that conceals the redness.
