75 Soft / 75 Medium / 75 Hard

Hello Tattlers!

Just a thread to ask if anyone is doing any of the above in the new year? Seeing a lot of variations going around social media just now and I'm thinking I'm going to do the same in the new year.

I'm thinking of going in and doing my own version of 75 soft, maintaining and finishing that, stepping up and doing a variation of 75 medium, maintaining and finishing that and then finishing with a 75 hard. With every 75 upping the previous targets just a bit.

So for example doing 10k steps for soft, 13k steps for medium and then 15k for hard.

I think it will keep me accountable and give me something to work towards.

Just wondered if anyone else was doing it and what your variations are?

Or indeed, has anyone done it before and what were your variations / how did you find it?

I love the idea of the 75 challenges. I think it is sensible starting soft and getting harder as 75 hard from the outset seems like too many changes in 1 go.

Im doing 75 Hard, started today. Using rules as follows

1. Diet (no UPF and 16:8)
2. Water - have to stick to 3 litres because anything else gives me terrible GERD
3. One hill walk and one gym work out daily
4. Ordered a few books
5. Progress pic each night.

I’ve also as an add on deleted Facebook and Instagram, as I spend way too much time on them and they don’t actually make me happy.

Yeah I've got timers on tiktok and Instagram now, and one of mine is not taking my pjone into my room at bedtime. I'm such a doom scroller when I much prefer reading - but it's too easy to pick up my phone.

I'm starting on Monday (the whole aesthetic for me is easier to follow on a day i can start a routine properly - this week is too bitty) and for me it's getting into better habits, then building on them.

So my soft is super attainable, but routine based.

10k steps a day, minimum.
Two workouts a week, minimum.
Two of my water bottles a day.
Mindful eating.
No after dinner snacks.
Only alcohol on special ocassions.
Morning and evening skincare.
One evening a week self care; face masks, hair masks, pedicure kind of thing.

I'm also doing a progress pic at the start and end of each soft, rather than more frequent.

Have you done any variations before?

No never, I hate restrictive eating and I’ve only recently got into the gym. But my mental health took a battering the last few months so I think this would be really good for me.

The only issue I have, is that my friends birthday is 1 Feb and I’ve already paid for a bottomless brunch. I think I’ll complete the other rules for the day and switch to soft because of the alcohol (I know it’s cheating but compared to the bad habits I usually have it will still be a massive achievement - or at least that’s what I’m telling myself 😆)

Is anyone doing this currently? On day 4 and really enjoying it, feeling very positive for the week to come.

I'm doing medium I guess, with my plan being:

1 x 45 min workout
1 x 45 min walk
10,000 steps
Stick to calorie goal
Read some of a book every day (any kind)
Drink 3 litres of water a day
