Hi Members
Please someone tell me it gets better. I've an appointment on 27th September which I've had to push for as they wanted me to wait 9 weeks and I just can't.
I can barely function. The worst thing is breathlessness to the point I almost pass out in supermarket.
I'n a single mum to daughter 13 autistic high functioning but no school place for her so shes home all day. (Dad bailed and became violent over lockdown so we had to leave)
My skin is so pale, I'm known for my lovely rosy cheeks and dimples but honestly the blusher ks having to work so hard.
The other major issue is muscle weakness and bad pain in my feet and ankles sometimes I can barely walk.
I've also gained 8lb in 3 months round the middle! But eating less as zero appetite.
I'm pretty stoic. Nurse for 30 years so i tend to be 'if you don't have a limb hanging off you're fine' lol but honestly this is beating me.
I literally feel like somethings 'eating' me and I could just crawl into a corner and die somewhere quietly.

Can someone tell me it gets better

And i just realised I misspelt the title ...good grief

Being breathless is usually a big sign of anaemia. The pains could be vitamin d deficiency. When I was deficient (like horribly deficient, nearly no vitamin d) it hurt to put my feet on the floor in the morning.
I’ve been using a supplement called GABA recently and it’s very helpful in the evening to relax and sleep. Rhodiola is also very good for weight gain around the middle due to cortisol/stress and is calming.
If I were you I’d insist on a load of blood work including thyroid, blood count and vitamin d, b12 etc. my experience with vitamin d deficiency was that when low my thyroid wasn’t working right but when my d levels were optimal my thyroid also became so.

I’m so sorry you’re having such a rough time, I’ve been in an abusive relationship and also have experience of having kids with send and lack of school for a long period of time. The stress it gives combined is unbelievably high.

Do you have an ehcp for your daughter? Have you applied for dla/carers allowance to help money wise? There are send groups on Facebook for support which I have found helpful and maybe in your area there is something like great minds together? You don’t have to answer these questions on the thread I just wanted to put them there in case you haven’t got stuff that could help.

Sending you a hug 🤗

It does get better I promise. I'm out the other side but your post reminded me of the utterly bizarre symptoms I had along the way. My frigging thumbs and thumb joints ached for so long, and the balls of my feet. So bloody random. Also terrible itchy skin. Along with the usual well known things. Just such wierd things keep happening.
I didn't have HRT. Not for any massive reason but I kept thinking/hoping it would all be over soon.

Thankyou x

I have pernicious anaemia too so had full blood count recently and all OK
I didn't have vit D done so I'll to have that done.

The bone aching is horrible and feels like its eating away at me. As for the feeling like cobwebs on my face ....

How long did it take for you to get to the other side?
