I just can't get over the fact it's 2025 and we are discussing annexing and colonisation other countries and the threat is by the USA!! It blows my mind everyday.

The hysteria over Trump who is trying to broker peace without military intervention. It is deranged. There’s no decency in preferring the stench of death to exhausting every avenue of diplomatic agreement.

This is entirely down to a certain contingent’s fury at looking weak and incompetent where Putin is concerned. Because they are.

Trump's deal was that the US would get access to Ukraine's natural resources and Ukraine would get nothing. Trump made no statement on how security for Ukraine would be guaranteed beyond "Putin respects me."

As we have seen in the past, Russia has violated ceasefires, why would he stick to this one? It'll just embolden him to invade other countries nearby, as he said he would.

I feel like people haven't learnt the lessons of history and it'll repeat itself.

It's scary because they genuinely believe it. This is isolationism at it's peak. The American population have only ever been shown American news and are constantly told America is great, etc etc. They've been indoctrinated like North Koreans have, they just don't realise.

I've got family in the US so have visited many times and I am always blown away by how little they know of the world. They know nothing of what goes on outside of America.

I don't care what happens domestically with Trump. They voted for him, they can suffer the consequences but his obsession with Canada and Greenland is worrying. TBH it's showing signs of cognitive decline.

Trump is trying to prevent WW3?! He's literally just told the world that he intends to take Greenland by any means necessary, not to mention Canada and Panama. Donald Trump is not a peacemaker. Everything decision he ever makes has vengeance or malice behind it. The only reason he's interested in Ukraine is how much he can screw them over for the minerals.

I just read a BBC story about a grandfather in Greenland who is really worried about Trumps intentions. He said he was worried for his grandchildren and thought this was how the Ukrainians must have felt before Putin invaded.

It’s just so gross that that orange Fanny opens his mouth and makes the Greenlanders feel this way.

He and his cabinet are just so disgusting.

Nothing is showing how insular Americans are than these tariffs. They (or a certain section) seem to think the world will stop turning if America doesn't provide us with goods and services. That everyone will be on their knees. I don't think so. If countries like Canada, Australia, EU, UK, India etc stick together we can tell the US to fuck off. Do Americans actually realise how much of their stuff is from/made in China?

They seem to forget that most of the world managed quite well without America for many, many centuries. America is still the new kid on the block for most of these countries.
