People over 70 react more harshly to chemotherapy, I don’t know what to tell you. Does it happen? Yes. I should have modified my comment to say “generally dont” but here we are.

But they generally don’t like to do it on older patients/ over 65’s as the risks can outweigh the benefits. If he’s going to be up and doing his duties while having treatment I very much doubt it is chemo. Happy to be wrong, it doesn’t affect my life. For his children and grandchildren I hope whatever treatment he has works and he can be around longer for them.
Hi, I’m medical. Generally speaking don’t comment on this thread but just want to stop the false information as this is something that affects lots of people who may be reading this. There’s no age limit for chemo. Doctors will assess the patient as a whole to decide if they should be offered chemo or alternative therapies. Sometimes chemo isn’t even first-line for some cancers. Decisions will be made based on current patient health, their health pre-illness, their perceived strength to cope with the chemo in the present time, patient’s choice and the prognosis for an uncomplicated life post-chemo.

For anyone that may be interested, I live in the Cotswolds and have done for many years. I've been lucky, in my opinion, to meet quite a few royals over the years. So I'll list them and give a brief opinion of what I thought of them 😂

King Charles, pre HoS - Lovely, went around the room at least three times and interacted with me just as many. Remembered my name on every interaction. Truly very generous with his time.

Camilla - Funny, a bit standoffish but not rude. She was very kind to the elderly people who were there to greet her but did look like she'd rather be elsewhere lol.

Princess Anne - The most down to earth of them all, chatted about horses and the roadworks outside Tetbury at the time that meant she was a few minutes late which, in her own words, she can't abide 😂

William - Interacted briefly at the Polo, wasn't overly kind or rude in any way. Just existed as a fairly normal human for the short time I was in his vicinity.

Harry - Entitled, charming and doesn't know his please and thank you's when it comes to the little people. Could have been a bad afternoon, or he could just be a wanker.

Sophie - She was a true delight, very funny, lovely to chat to, open to hugs from the vulnerable adults she was there to visit. Truly a lovely, lovely human with warmth and humour. My favourite of all ❤

Always loved him.. His gaffes were hilarious. I'm Irish have have no reason to love TQ and PP.... but I do. Love Charles also. I just find them fascinating. Love to see him make his 100th. I'd alwayd loved to have met him.... although God knows what he make of a 6ft Irish woman .... Probably say I was Queen of The Leprechauns 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I met him during the Queens Diamond Jubilee tour in 2012. She was doing a walkabout so we went to try and meet her. I took some flowers and got there early, right by the barrier.
They arrived, but The Queen walked down the opposite side to us. Then all of a sudden I looked up and Prince Phillip was standing infront of me!
He told me to jump over the barrier to give my flowers to her 😂 I'm like, errrrm I can't 🤣
So he then looks over to where The Queen was and asked me if I would like him to take them to her. I obviously said yes please! 😁 He said, "who shall I say they're from?" So I told him my name. Then just as he was walking off, he said with a big smile on his face "Can I say they're from me?" 🤣
He walked over to where the Queen was, spoke to her, passed her the flowers and pointed over to where we were standing and she smiled and waved to us! 😁😁

I usually like Chris Ship but this has pissed me off.

I don't feel sorry for Harry. He was given the opportunity to see her but chose not to.

This really got me, I always think it’s so easy to forget that those that marry in have their own (often much more functional) families too

Good god. She laid herself bare and had it filmed by a third party, while recovering from major surgery, going through the start of chemo, being a mother to three young children, supporting her husband who lost his own mother and is supporting his father as he also goes through chemo, and having the most awful speculation over her family.

And people are still not happy.

Just imagine yourselves in a few years time when your grandchildren ask you what you were doing when the queen died.

Diana had just as many affairs as Charles. I’m sick of Diana being paraded as a saint, she was a good person yes but she was still a person who also made many mistakes in life. As did Charles and so did Camilla

Even though Camilla has had her faults, she is not a bad person, she does a lot for charity, does her job well and is very aware she will never be as popular as Diana. Give the woman a break it’s been nearly thirty years since this whole royal affair scandal and people will still give the poor woman abuse.
