This is the thing. People think Tattle is a place for jealous shrivelled up bitter hags picking on beautiful, successful instagrammers.

But actually, we are discussing an industry where followers are cleverly manipulated, misled and USED by people who are playing a part.

When Martha asks you, her lowly Instagram follower, whether you have a tv in your bedroom, she doesn’t give a tiny rats arse whether you do. She’s hoping brands will see the engagement/post and send her a telly. And the worst part of this is... they will.

Martha herself is playing the part of animal loving, doting, stay at home mum to four joules clad little cherubs, living the aesthetic dream in a country home. ...Actually, reality check, she hasn’t bought the house, she hasn’t bought the joules. Plus, she won’t have much time for doting on her kids, because of the large amount of work involved in her paid partnerships. She’s a business woman at the end of the day.

I’m not denying that some comments are a little personal, and will call them out if I see them. The majority of us on Tattle are disillusioned with the constant sales tactics. I saw a baby announcement #ad the other day for goodness sake. It’s a joke, and I’m glad people are now seeing through it.

I don’t know why everyone is up her arse just because she came on here.

Nobody, literally nobody was trying to doxx where she lives or her kids’ schools. Maybe a little bit of idle speculation about the vague area her house is in etc

She’s still up there with the worst of the child sellers in my opinion.

Does anyone think the view of the horse through the conservatory is not so much ‘rural idyll’ but more ‘settled traveller’?

Renting a house hasn't made me lose respect for Martha, her petty little "sorry us renting a house has upset you" dig has.

Context is really fucking pivotal on instagram. I think influencers have a moral duty to be honest regarding the content they share. If you're going to show every nook and cranny of your new home, then share that you don't own it. Be honest that you won't be renovating it because it isn't yours. Don't hide it in comments that can be deleted, put it in the caption. If you don't want to disclose the status of your property don't share every little detail about it.

Also, keep your toys in the pram when some one points at that your content with no context has a detrimental effect on people's mental health.

Lastly, tagging F&B on a photo where the paint that was not provided by them is the unscrupulous cherry on the dishonest cake.

I also agree with this. Sorry Martha but you chose to flog your kids at literally ANY opportunity. I’ve seen photos of your kids in their school uniforms, in bikinis, asleep in their bedrooms, in the bath AND IN A HOSPITAL BED FFS. You have chosen to sell their poor little lives - and yes people on here might discuss the town or the city that you live in (haven’t seen any discussion about what school your kids go to) but the main safeguarding issue lies with what you have chosen to do with your kids in front of a 150k audience, not what a ‘gossip’ website says.

Completely agree. It’s not like (for example) an actress who has every right to expect a certain level of privacy with their children because they have an actual job which just happens to put them in the public eye. Martha and others have deliberately chosen to put their children online to make money, for no other reason. Another influencer bleating about privacy whilst blatantly flogging their family on social media! Let’s not forget that these influencers are inherently inauthentic and the majority of them aren’t true fans of the brand they’re advertising. They would be nobodies without their loyal sheep who are the ones who will go out and buy the products being flogged and then report back thanking said influencer who then reposts their gushing adoration. We’re all taken in by advertising, that’s the whole point of the industry. We see something we like and we go out and buy it. The difference is that many influencers advertise products and at the same time have no qualms about selling their children on their squares to earn their living. Whilst Martha has an undeniably beautiful family (raging husband aside ) and appears to live an enviable life moving from one lovely house to another, she cannot expect that aspects of this life won’t be brought into question and commented on. Her polite request on here that we respect her privacy and that of her children is hypocritical at best and she has suddenly decided that she should shut the privacy door after her Instagram paid for pony has bolted Does she really think that people are going to find out where she lives/kids go to school and come visit.....I don’t think anyone is that interested to be honest

I think it’s quite telling that she hides nothing of roads/ areas / SCHOOL UNIFORM in her stories but as soon as there is a sniff of someone disclosing that she’s *gasp* renting, she’s straight on here asking for ‘privacy’.

That’s really the only explanation I can think of

I’d rather own my own nice- enough home than rent a nicer one, so this is the only thing I can think of that would make it viable. That they used money from selling the last one to put towards their self build.

Should keep Mr Happily Ever After busy, keep him from quietly humming My Chemical Romance songs and weeping about his lost youth whilst lying on his pink bedspread

I think those who comment on here don't want to know her actual address and couldnt care less where her children go to school.
Worked very hard to keep their address and children's school private my arse.
If you are honestly concerned about your children's safety then why put photos/stories of them in their school uniform? There is a recent photograph of the children sat outside the front of their new house. Not to mention the stories of outside of her parents house and Josh's parent's pub, the car they drive, the holidays they go on. I could go on all day really.
