Tattle was asked for a Right of Reply from the Times and the Times Radio. Which I guess we must be thankful for with the state of journalism and how in 98% of cases they run pieces on tattle without even giving this most basic right.

The reply was:

The following statement should be posted in its entirety, if this is not possible please let us know.

Tattle Life allows the commentary of influencers and public figures away from their personal feeds on a separate platform.

We have a very strict set of rules and a zero tolerance policy with trolling, abuse, violence and harassment. Anyone that breaks our rules is promptly banned and can't sign up for a new account.

Influencers often mistakenly describe comments they don't like as trolling and harassment. We allow members of the public to hold an opinion on public figures which is important in a free and fair society where the damaging effects of social media are increasingly becoming recognised, while also having a set of rules that are far stricter than any of the big tech social media sites.

Tattle Life is no more problematic than any other user generated content and posts are not checked by an editor before going live. Out of the nearly 25 million posts a few may have slipped under the next that break our rules. But we have a link on every single page to report content and take every report very seriously.

We hold records for the last two years on reports and we can't see anyone that has contacted us about Liz Fraser posts that they believe overstep fair commentary on a public figure. If there are any posts anyone has a concern with please do report them ASAP so they can be dealt with.

Times Radio did not read any of the statement.

What is going on at The Times ? They deleted this comment,one of the few that weren’t following Liz’s narrative. I wonder what guidelines it broke? Didn’t they also ignore friends of M’s ex wife when they were bringing attention to the whole Coming Clean saga?They must really hate tattle

From a poster called Emma - it’s not me btw, even though I brought up Salt path the other day. ( I didn’t want to put a screen grab in case they could request it be removed)
“I'm embarrassed for The Times at publishing this with no factchecking of these claims (ten minutes of research would tell a different story). Thank goodness there are websites where women (and men) can compare notes about public figures, especially those making harmful claims or asking for 'donations' - think The Salt Path, a certain food poverty blogger, the Believe in Magic charity fraud. Gossip isn't the biggest problem facing the world, and the focus on women's websites stinks of misogyny (male-dominated sites like Reddit and football forums frequently have much nastier content). The 'respected' media publishing stories without due diligence has a much wider and more harmful effect - just look at all the vitriol being stirred up in these comments”.

According to the comments we are all losers, vile, sad, unhappy, jealous and probably fat. Also women hate other women etc . No chance of us being pissed off about being told to shut up because we have opinions based on facts and sometimes have a bit of a laugh expressing them.

If people are ok with this Im going to try and add to the wiki page at some point next week , just so there is a nice clear record on here to balance the very one sided narrative in the press.
